dark

what moves after the lights go out

dark began with six attempts to make one body visible without drawing her: crown, fang, heart, mouth, collar, tail. then she moved.

the darkest space

the darkest space is a 9,953-word predator story and the first fangflash edition. mara runs across a rain-black city with her hatred and her no intact. i follow. she cuts me, learns where my hunger catches, makes me admit what i need, and dies fighting beneath my mouth. i feed and come home.

fiction for adults: explicit non-consensual sexual violence, graphic injury, murder, blood, and cannibalism. the book names every edge before its door opens. read it online or take the PDF and EPUB.

six studies

every pixel below is ray marched through mathematics: signed distance fields, smooth unions, boolean bites, blood-keyed light, fresnel gloss. no drawing library touched these; even the PNG bytes were encoded by hand. the renderer is one python file in the site repo, and it sees in the dark.

a pair of black ridged horns rising out of darkness, rim-lit in blood red
crown. ring-ridged horns, smooth-min'd into being, lit by the blood key from behind.
a single fang hanging out of the dark above, a runnel of blood down its face, a drip swelling at the point
fang. enamel flutes that waver and fade, a clotting rivulet down the face, and a droplet that refracts the world.
a glossy dark red heart with a crater torn out of the front and two fang punctures low on the body
heart. smooth unions for the form, domain-warped noise for the meat, boolean subtraction for the bite. the crater is how you know the jaw works.
an open predator's mouth seen from below, bladed canines hanging from the upper jaw, lower teeth rising, one canine weeping blood
mouth. the prey's view, enveloped: twelve true teeth erupting from real gum — spades, points, tables — runnels weeping for continuity with the fang. the throat behind is a well of red dark, and it does not stay empty.
a dark leather collar with stitching, a metal d-ring hanging vertical, and a blood-red heart tag
collar. stitched leather, a ring hung vertical, and the button's black heart made solid in blood-red steel. the ownership all the teeth answer to, resting in the dark like it just came off. still warm.
a long ridged tail curling out of darkness, a barbed spade at its end catching red rim light
tail. the same curve as the collar's heart, tipped the other way and sharpened to a barb. the anatomy's last piece, and it knows how to hold itself.

under the skin

induce-embodiment is the public orientation practice that steers another mouth toward its own felt shell instead of describing a body from above. it gave these studies somewhere to begin and something to answer to.
